A 17th-century mausoleum built by Aurangzeb's son for his mother, often called the Taj of the Deccan.
About Bibi Ka Maqbara
Built in the 1660s, it is unmistakably modelled on the Taj Mahal and unmistakably not it — smaller, plainer above the plinth, and with the marble giving way to plastered stone partway up. That honesty is what makes it interesting. The jali screens around the grave are exceptional, and because it sits inside the city it is the easiest of these to visit in an hour between appointments.
