Panchakki
A 17th-century water mill driven by an underground channel from springs several kilometres away.
About Panchakki
Panchakki is a piece of engineering rather than a monument: water carried underground from the hills, surfacing to drive a mill that ground grain for pilgrims. The reservoir, the great banyan and the shaded courtyard make it one of the calmer places in the city, and it is close enough to visit on foot from much of it.
Visiting Panchakki from the hospital
Panchakki is approximately 3 km from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where several of our partner hospitals are located. An hour. We can arrange a car and driver, and if you are travelling with a recovering patient we will check the plan with the treating doctor first.
