Care at the centre, the facilities that support it around that, and around all of it the place itself — the caves at Ajanta and Verul, the crater at Lonar, the fort at Daulatabad. That is the order we work in.

How much does medical treatment in India cost?

Treatment in India typically costs 60–80% less than the equivalent procedure in the United States or United Kingdom. As of September 2026, indicative ranges at accredited Indian hospitals are approximately US$2,800–5,500 for angioplasty, US$4,500–8,000 for coronary artery bypass surgery, US$4,000–6,500 for a total knee replacement, and US$12,000–18,000 for a kidney transplant. Those figures cover the surgeon, theatre, hospital stay in the quoted room category and standard medication during admission. They exclude flights, visa fees, accommodation outside the hospital, and any complication requiring extended intensive care.

Why India

The same operation, without the waiting list or the price

Indian hospitals perform these procedures at very high volume, with surgeons trained and often credentialled abroad. That combination is why patients from Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia have been coming here for two decades.

  • Typically 60–80% less than the same treatment in the US or UK
  • JCI and NABH accredited hospitals, verified certificate by certificate
  • English spoken throughout — by surgeons, nurses and administrators

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Treatment in a city worth being in

We are based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, formerly Aurangabad, in Maharashtra. Two UNESCO World Heritage sites sit within an hour's drive — the rock-cut caves at Ajanta and Verul — along with a Mughal mausoleum, a hill fortress and, a little further out, a meteorite crater lake found almost nowhere else on earth.

That matters more than it sounds. Recovery takes weeks, and the family who travelled with you will spend most of it waiting. Somewhere to go on the days you are not needed at the hospital changes what those weeks feel like.

Registration is verified against the issuing regulator — the Medical Council register for doctors, the accrediting body for hospitals. That verification is what makes a listing here worth having.

Questions

What families ask before they travel

How do I start?
Send us the patient’s reports — scans, discharge summaries, biopsy results, whatever you have — along with their age and a short description of the problem. We come back with a written medical opinion and an indicative cost, usually within two working days. There is no charge for this and no obligation.
What if I do not have any medical reports?
That is common and it is not a problem. Tell us what has been diagnosed and what treatment has been suggested locally. A specialist will tell you which investigations are worth doing before you travel, so you do not repeat tests unnecessarily.
My reports are not in English. What do I do?
Send them anyway. We have them translated before they reach the specialist, at no cost to you.
Is the cost you quote the final price?
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is being careless. What we give you is an estimate from the hospital based on the reports available before you travel. The final bill depends on what is found during treatment. What we can promise is that the estimate is itemised, that we explain exactly what is excluded, and that you are told about any change before it is incurred.
What is not included in the estimate?
Flights, visa fees, accommodation outside the hospital, food for accompanying family, and any complication requiring extended intensive care. Room upgrades above the quoted category are also extra. These are the costs families are most often unprepared for, so we list them explicitly.
How and when do I pay?
The hospital bills you directly for treatment — we never take treatment money. A deposit is usually paid on admission and the balance on discharge. Our own coordination services are quoted separately and most are free.
